Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

A tasty snack that’s rich in fibre and protein, our Roasted Red Pepper Hummus is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.


1 red pepper

2 lemons

400g pre-soaked chickpeas
3 tbsp olive oil
60ml fresh water
1 tbsp tahini
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
Pinch of salt



1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2. Slice the red pepper into strips and discard the centre. Place the slices on a tray and bake for approximately 10 minutes.

3. While the peppers are in the oven, juice the lemons and add this with the rest of the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth, this shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes.

4. When the peppers are starting to turn brown at the edges remove them from the oven and leave to cool.

5. When cooled, add the peppers to the mix in the blender and blend until smooth.

Serve with carrot sticks, celery or pitta bread (or all three) and enjoy!
