Irish Coffee with La Cafetière

Enjoy a warming Irish coffee with La Cafetière this St Patrick’s Day. If you’ve never celebrated St Paddy’s with this coffee with a twist before, now is the time to try it! For the recipe we used our Jack latte glasses from the La Cafetière collection: the design presents coffee beautifully and means you can admire the rich colours and attractive layers of this drink through the glass. So cosy up and enjoy! 

You will need:

  • Coffee
  • Brown sugar
  • Whiskey
  • Double cream


Tip: Resist the urge to stir the coffee for an authentic result!


Make it!

  1. First, brew up a cafetière of your favourite coffee.
  2. Put two generous teaspoons of brown sugar into a glass.
  3. Irish it up and add a shot of your favourite whiskey to the glass - we used Jameson.
  4. Top with the hot coffee, leaving enough room for the cream.
  5. Warm a teaspoon. Turn it over and slowly pour double cream over the bowl of the spoon into the glass, so the cream sits on the surface of the coffee.
