Chocolate Easter Nests

A quick and simple three-ingredient Easter idea that is ideal for keeping little ones entertained over the bank holiday weekend. These little cakes are adorable with a chick nest appearance thanks to the crumbled shredded wheat and colourful mini eggs topping.

Nothing is more perfect for Easter than melting chocolate for indulgent treats!


  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 90g shredded wheat
  • 1 bag of mini eggs
  • 12 cupcake cases



  1. Stirring at intervals, melt the milk chocolate in a bowl in the microwave until smooth.  
  2. Leave the chocolate to cool for a few minutes.
  3. Crumble the shredded wheat into the melted chocolate.
  4. Carefully spoon the mixture into the cupcake cases.
  5. With the back of a teaspoon, make wells in each cupcake and position a couple of mini eggs inside for a nest effect.
  6. Refrigerate for at least two hours until the cakes have set before serving.
