Jason Singh runs the London Marathon
A truly massive congratulations to our very own Jason Singh, who ran the gruelling 26 mile London Marathon in a very respectible 4 hours and 15 mins. Jason has so far managed to raise nearly £1300 for his chosen charity MACS, which supports families of children who are visually impaired or blind. So a huge well done and let’s hope he has a well earned rest this bank holiday!

The William Chambers Collection

Introducing a stunning range of fine bone china mugs, with imagery taken from the Kew Library. This collection features three different designs from The William Chambers illustrative archive. The mugs are available in three colours, soft pink, baby blue and white and are called; A View of the Aviary at Kew, A View of the Pavilion at Kew and Sir William Chambers. The illustrations come from a book of drawings published in 1763 entitled “Plans, elevations, sections and perspective views of gardens and buildings at Kew Gardens surrey”. Each mug is available in a beautifully printed gift box and every purchase ensures a contribution towards Kew’s vital plant conservation work. The mugs will be officially launched at Exclusively Housewares in June.
Caring for fine bone china
With the launch of our beautiful new fine bone china mugs using designs from the Kew Gardens archive, I really do think that fine bone china needs to be given that little bit extra care and attention.
I had some friends around for dinner on Saturday night and as usual, the fine bone china dinner set we were given for our wedding came out of hibernation. The design is called “India” really pretty, with lots of dainty decoration around the rim, peppered with hints of gold leaf. It’s a bit special, which is why I nearly had a heart attack when my nearest and dearest started loading up the dishwasher! I immediately ran into the kitchen and started un-stacking all the plates, he rolled his eyes at my friend, as if to say, here she goes again!
